Events and Celebrations
Each Fall, parents and Staff gather to get acquainted and reacquainted and to hear an overview of the Little Folks School program.
Grandparents and Special Friends are invited to visit the school for a special breakfast, a tour and a visit with the children.
In September 2013, we opened our doors at our new, permanent home at 3247 Q St. NW. The proceeds from this annual, anniversary dance, benefits our building fund.
The evening before Parent-Teacher Conferences the Room Parents host a dinner that includes time for parents to spend time in the classroom experiencing a bit of their child’s day.
This joyous holiday celebration brings family and friends together for a sing-a-long and cookies and hot chocolate.
Each year families gather to dance and celebrate the outstanding staff of the Little Folks School. Proceeds from the dance augment the LFS Staff Benefits package.

As a school devoted to the Arts, our annual Art Exhibit & Sale celebrates the creativity in all of us. Started in 2013 by former Little Folks student, Sanam Jalinous, this event supports the LFS Building Fund. There are musical performances by LFS alumni, along with student, parent, and staff art for sale, as well as art from area galleries.
The annual Spring Garden Party, hosted by a current family for current and newly admitted families is a wonderful opportunity to welcome new parents to our community.
Our annual gathering in a local park is the end of the school year celebration which includes, current, past and newly enrolled families. Parents bring a picnic lunch and we provide the fun!
This event is the culmination of our summer camp with an artist’s reception and a musical performance.
